Mailboxes at Hamlet
TO: All Hamlet Residents FROM: Hamlet Board or Village Shires Management RE: Hamlet Mail Boxes We have contracted with a painter to refurbish and paint the mailboxes in Hamlet which has been completed. Recently, the boxes have been marked up with hand written house numbers on the street side exterior. This is considered defacing the boxes and we will be removing the numbers shortly, repainting those effected. We have contacted the post master and informed him of this incident. The current mail carrier (or their substitute) is aware of each resident's mail slot on the interior of the boxes so they do not need to know the house numbers on the exterior. As a reminder, the mailboxes are there solely for the purpose of delivering your mail and should not be used to post flyers for lost pets, advertised services, etc. If you have any questions or concerns with your mailbox please contact the management office.
